Did Henry Mancini write the songs for THE GREAT MOUSE DETECTIVE?

I saw the DVD re-release at Target, the price was cheap, so I picked it up. LOVE the movie. Haven't re-visited it in years. When viewing the opening credits, I was shocked to see the credit "Music by Henry Mancini" appear. I had no clue he scored the film!! I *LOVE* the score. It truly makes the movie.

What is unclear, and not listed on IMDb, is whether or not Henry Mancini also wrote the songs for the film? "The World's Greatest Criminal Mind" is such a wonderful number. Underappreciated, much like the film.

And Vincent Price's performance as the evil Ratigan remains one of my favorite contributions to an animated character to date.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Yes he did including the score. Except "Let Me Be Good To You" that was Melissa Manchester

If you want to know the info for songs look under the soundtrack link in the page for the movie.

This is truly one of the more underrated Disney films. It's so inventive and clever with one of the first integrated uses of computer animation during the Big Ben sequence. Mancini's score and the voice over cast are absolutely wonderful!

Thanks! I didn't notice the "Soundtrack" page.
