OFFICIAL: Lane/Metcalf DEATH OF A SALESMAN to open at Winter Garden, March 2026
 Jan 5 2026, 09:58:28 AM

I was already intrigued but this supporting cast is stacked. Can't wait.

Derek Klena Joins Savannah Bananas
 Dec 30 2025, 09:55:43 AM

The Savannah Bananas sell out major league stadiums. It has become a huge event for families and is the perfect fit for Klena. Very savvy.

London Loved It/New York Hated It
 Dec 29 2025, 11:11:56 AM

Coram Boy. Debuted at the National Theatre, even had a return engagement, and then transfered to NY and closed at the Imperial after a month.

SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS with Raul Esparza @ Lincoln Center
 Nov 25 2025, 10:40:40 AM

Reading through this thread and I'm disappointed that I didn't go. I had advance casting intel but even with that had to weigh purchasing a not very discounted ticket or using that $$ towards an espresso machine and the espresso machine won out and is being delivered today. I'll be well caffeinated for Ali's next gig now at least.

Michael Arden to direct musical adaptation of THE LOST BOYS, with music by The Rescues

I manifested a part of this casting without hiring an Etsy witch.

“Martin Scorsese no longer watches films in cinemas due to audience bad behaviour” - has your theatregoing been affected in the same way?

Yes, missing out on shining lights in the dark and burnt popcorn munching triggering my misophonia. Me and my 75" TV with surround sound get by just fine :)

TotallyEffed said: "I'll never stop going to the theatre but the prices are more alarming than the behavior, and the behavior is pretty alarming. I try to see shows early because I find the audience is better behaved. But with the prices of everything skyrocketing, I have to be a lot more selective about what I see. As exciting as Evita sounds, how much will it cost to get a decent seat in the theatre when it comes to Broadway? $600? And then have the strong possibility of someon

telecharge survey - Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure??!!??
 Sep 7 2025, 09:38:38 PM

I received a similar survey a few weeks ago, only this one included similar questions about Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

My comments were that I was only interested in Bill and Ted if it was an immersive production and I could go on a water slide with Napoleon.

I never thought a big show like Aladdin would be on TDF! Is this a bad sign or just a random one off?

I can't say with 100% certainty but I do believe Aladdin has been on TDF before. TLK or Wicked on TDF would absolutely be end times upon us.

Lea Michele, Aaron Tveit, and Nicholas Christopher in 2025 Chess Revival!
 Sep 5 2025, 04:40:56 PM

I just got way more excited learning that David Burt was a replacement Antoloy in Chess than with anything this new production has released thus far. Any wagers on when this will hit TDF?

DEAD OUTLAW Original Broadway Cast Recording Threax

Cast album is being released tomorrow! I love the Audible recording but I'm also looking forward to easily skipping from song to song now, or just listening to "Nobody Knows Your Name" on repeat.

TLC Musical, New Adaptations of DAMN YANKEES and PAL JOEY Will Play Arena Stage
 Aug 11 2025, 07:04:52 PM

I'm as big of a Yankees fan as they come (although their present incarnation is testing my patience) and the "core four" was a big part of my formative years but enough. Besides, Take Me Out already exists.

Peter Dinklage, Lupita Nypng'o, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Sandra Oh to star in Shakespeare in the Park's TWELFTH NIGHT
 Aug 8 2025, 02:56:40 PM

Romeo is new, but the Public Theater first sent out a fundraising email from the Delacorte Raccoons in 2023. I spoke to a woman who worked in marketing for the Public Theater at last year's flea market and told her that I thought that approach was really clever and that I would love to see a poster or merch created from raccoon graphic they used in that email. Lo and behold, I received an email from Creative Goods yesterday announcing new Shakespeare in the Park merch with the r

Encores! 2026 Update?

Ali Louis Bourzgui as Bat Boy, please please please.

I still have to frame my oversized Bat Boy poster given out on opening night in .... 2001.

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 5/11/25

TotallyEffed said: "I was in the mezz and could not connect with it at all. I wonder if I would have liked it better with a different seat."

Could be. I know you can only choose from the theaters you are offered, but you'd think the big buzzy hit from last spring would have had better housing prospects. I really am surprised at how I felt; if it was my first time with the material I'd think it was fine, maybe I'd listen to the cast album every now an

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 5/11/25
 May 13 2025, 08:03:07 PM

I saw Dead Outlaw this past Saturday mat. I sat in the mezz surrounded by a restless audience and empty rows of seats in the rear side mezz. My posting history confirms that I loved this off Broadway, but boy, did I feel far away and disconnected from the performance from that vantage point. I can't imagine seeing this from the balcony.

Add wrong theater to the running list of Dead Outlaw's problems.

REDWOOD Original Broadway Cast Recording Thread
 May 13 2025, 07:49:29 PM

This is one of those weird situations where I actually kind of liked a show and can't really articulate why. In this case, I can point to being a big house plant person and liking the prominent conservation messaging. I streamed the album this morning and it's actually pretty good. Happy to have a few of these tracks in my rotation now. Wild that Idina is/was expected to sing this 8x a week.

New Hadestown Casting
 May 8 2025, 09:33:57 AM

I went last night. I haven't seen this show since its NYTW run and I remember why: it's really just not for me. All of the faults I had with the material came flooding back as I sat in my center orchestra seat courtesy of TDF, so it was a rough night for me. Perhaps this colors my thoughts around Ali's performance (I wouldn't be there otherwise), but Orpheus really isn't the best fit for his voice. Perhaps he becomes more comfortable with this material

Yazbek on Full Monty
 May 3 2025, 10:18:06 PM

I love The Full Monty and saw the OBC 13 times. The memory of seeing it for the first time from the front row with my then bestie and Jason Danieley coming out the stage door afterwards exclaiming that the cast played the whole show to us and thanking us for coming still makes me smile (and they did, because he totally winked at me right before the strip). A great, solid show which I believe has a decent regional life now.

I would love Encores to present th
