This quote comes from a PHANTOM article a friend of mine is writing for an entertainment magazine.
I didn't know Ullman and Kline were in negotiations for the project - when did this happen?

No way it's already cast, or I would have heard about it. Not that, you know, I insanely follow that kind of stuff or anything...
Anway, Mendes is set to direct, but that's it. And even that could change, knowing how movie development goes.

Wickedfan, I believe they also cast the Rent movie before the screenplay was completely finished.
But I could've sworn I've heard that Kevin Kline was indeed doing the Sweeney Movie...or maybe I'm just remembering his name being thrown around as a good choice for the role.
