Did Schwartz storm out of the Oscars after he lost?- Page 3

Sorry. I didn't mean to imply it didn't happen. I just sometimes wonder if the young writers I meet these days will eventually have a list of titles like Schwartz's, that's all. It's fun to conjecture a bit. Who composed the show he was consulting?

The Early 70's? How early was it? I mean, Godspell was a spectacularly popular off-Broadway show in May of 1971. By the summer of 1972 he had a #1 single in "Day by Day" and numerous productions of Godspell were being staged, including the legendary one in Toronto that launched so many careers. In 1973 the film opened and the soundtrack was a top ten hit. I find it curious that he was "not that well" known among theater folk in the "early 70's."

It doesn't matter Joe. Since Schwartz wrote Wicked, he is now an undeserving hack no matter what he wrote in his past. Jeez, catch up!

His scores for Pippin & The Bakers Wife were great. His score for Wicked wasn't
