Posted: 1/6/14 at 4:43pmLast night I attended the final performance of First Date and while I was waiting at the stage door they dimmed the lights on the marquee. Everything was still lit up besides the huge sign. I know it has happened when someone has died but does this usually happen at a final performance??

No it usually doesn't but the producers of the show were so moved by the fact that it was the final performance they decided to do this as a way to commemorate it amongst themselves, cast and crew. They never figured an audience member would notice and catch on.
