Snooty, no, he sounded soft-spoken...as he was getting ready for the show (as the make-up would indicate) he was likely trying to be sincere and quiet. I suspect he is not a super-animated before he steps on stage.

Quiet was the word I was looking for. I'm not saying he was pompous and arrogant (although I said snooty), but I guess I just expected him to be as animated backstage as he is onstage. I forgot the age factor.

I like the note that said

I wish we could see all the notes...ahha..they crack me up
