#1Discount Code Box Office Question
Posted: 2/21/09 at 12:10amFriday night I went to a show's box office with a discount code written. The ticket seller would not take it because he said he needed the printed offer. The directions on the Web site did say to print out the offer. My question is, how common is it for them to reject just the discount code? Another show I had no problem giving just the discount code. I think it is bad business to make a theatergoer upset before he actually sees a play which may affect his mood during the play for something this trivial. Obviously I saw the discount offer, otherwise I would not have had the code.

That answer will vary from theater to theater and sometimes vary depending on WHO is physically in the box office.
That being said: since you know it says PRINT this offer out, you can't really get mad at them for following the stated rules.
I think the point is that they want to make sure you have actually visited the site (hopefully to see all the pretty, pretty ads).
NOTE: they are not required to accept the code either....there are often limits to which or how many seats per performance will sold under it.
