Hi I work in a poor neighborhood in Brooklyn and want to expose my students to Broadway but they cannot afford the ticket for the Lion King. Help please!
Lion King is seldom discounted, but they might be slightly for a group rate.
Why Lion King? There are lots of other shows that many (including myself) consider better, which have cheaper tickets are very good group offers. Maybe try Matilda?
I'd pick a show that is not as popular. Maybe Cinderella. If you want to do it for cheap stay away from Disney shows and Wicked.
How old are your students?
A lot of shows are very accommodating to student groups, but not sure if The Lion King is one of them. If the larger goal is to expose the kids to Broadway, that seems doable, though.

Cinderella has Thursday matinees. It'll be over by 4:30 and I've seen a bunch of school buses by the theatre on Thursdays with tons of students getting out. I'm sure they'd be happy to work out a group rate for you.
^ Especially considering that they are closing and they want to move as many butts in and out of the theater between now and January 4th.

Check out Arts Connection's High 5 Ticket program. They don't often have Broadway, but they have a lot of Off-Broadway, dance, and music!
