Hi!
I’m travelling to NY this July and I’m planning on seeing as many Broadway shows as I can (for that I need to get discounts!).
I saw that in this moment there are discount codes in several shows, but they last through the end of May in most cases. Do you think that there will be discounts for July also? I mean, if I wait to buy the tickets, is it likely that new discounts appear for that month?
I’m asking because I don’t know if July is considered “high season”, and perhaps there won’t be as many discounts as they are now…
Thanks in advance for your answer!
P.S: Sorry if my English isn’t great!
Your English is just fine!
Yes, there will likely be more discounts coming....but likely none until after the Tonys for any of the new shows. For longer running shows, new codes will be available as we get near the end of the existing ones. There is no magic formula, you just have to keep checking.
Also: if you tell us which shows you WANT to see, we can give your a good guess whether or not there will BE any discount.

there are ALWAYS discounts. Discounts In ADVANCE are harder to come by than discounts the week before or the week of...
Make a list of all the shows you want to see.

be patient. I used to take trips to NYC for 6 days and see 10 shows. I NEVER purchased the tickets in advance. I always did the week of, SOMETIMES a few days before.
If you want to see shows that will appeal to families or kids out of school for the summer, then you will have a harder time since they don't need to discount as much. Everything else, which is the majority of shows, you should be fine... especially if you're planning to queue up and rush in the mornings.

Thank you all for answering ! It is good to know that the discounts will keep appearing.
I want to see Anastasia, Waitress and Phantom of the Opera. I think that the hardest one of the three to get discounts is Anastasia, right?
I’ve never done the rush tickets... how much time before the box office opens you have to be there? Because I’m planning to tour the city too (and I’m going with my brother, whom I don’t think we’ll be very excited to wait with me, haha).
Thanks again for your help!

Well, rush is typically over at 10a, so it won't cut into tourism time too much unless you go to a matinee. Every show is different. Some you need to get there a few hours early, others are giving out rush tickets all day it seems... you'll have to find the rush threads for each show to figure that out.
