Discussion: Seattle's Best Director

This is my attempt to get some kind of discussion going. Who do you feel is Seattle's best director?

I'd have to go with Bart Sher,

I've loved most everything he's done. Very smart director. I think he really came into his own with the Broadway Piazza. I'm excited to see what he does with Richard III.

Any other directors you favor?

I really don't have much to go on here... but I thought David Armstrong did a surprisingly good job directing Sweeney Todd.

EDIT: And from a long time ago, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, directed by Phillip George I believe. That was definitely well directed and the funniest musical I've ever seen.

David Armstrong for me, but then, it really depends. I don't really know a lot of the directors in residence at straight theatres, but as for musical theatre, it's gotta be Mr. A.
