Tyne Daly is my favorite Mama Rose. After that, Merman. Lansbury is good, but I can't get past the bad American accents from the British members of the cast. I also love the Midler recording. I only listened to the Peters recording twice. I don't care for it.

All five recordings are very different and there is something to like on each one.

With regards to Carousel, the London version is more complete than the Broadway version, but again, I like both.
