If a show opens on Broadway and lets say the Director's BIO is in it....will the BIO stay the same for years or do they reprint PlayBills and update BIO's? How about TOurs?

Since Playbills are printed monthly, an actor or director can certainly give an updated bio to the company manager.
The bios probably aren't updated too frequently due to costs but they can eventually change. For example, near the end of the run of Take Me Out Joe Mantello's bio changed to include that he won the Tony for Take Me Out.

I would have to agree. They pretty much stay the same from what I have seen.

When That Streisand Woman was in FUNNY GIRL, 'way back in the 60's, she insisted that her bio be changed every month; driving the people at PLAYBILL into a snit. None of her bio's were serious; in one she claimed her favorite day of the week was Thursday because she spent a portion of each Thursday stringing beads which were sold in a Vermont General Store.

Yes, I'm serious but I don't think That Streisand Woman was.

Use your common sense, Matt C. Do you really think a Broadway performer's bio stays the same year after year when they receive new credits?

Bios change whenever significant others change.
Stuff like that.
yea they chnage the information isnt set in stone! usually only major changes though.. its sort of a hassle for the playbill company
It is my understanding that actors & others are essentially free to change their bios as often as the Playbills are printed (monthly), but constant change is frowned upon.
