Wondering if there are any early reports about Chris Noth in Doctor Faustus at the CSC?

This show was a huge misfire for the usually reliable CSC. I honestly can find almost nothing positive to say.
Now granted this is pretty much my first exposure to the text of FAUSTUS but I don't think Marlowe had that many dick jokes in his original version. The whole thing was a mess and extremely boring. I'm not really sure why I would care about any of the characters since there was basically no development.
The acting was passable at best. Chris Noth was fine. I thought a lot of the actors were hamming it up (on purpose) but none were so grating as Lucas Caleb Rooney. I pretty much just wanted him to go away every time I saw him enter.
I've seen my share of CSC shows and feel like they are always good about staging plays that are good from all sides of the seating. The same cannot be said for FAUSTUS. I think if you weren't watching the show straight on you would miss a lot of visuals at the back of the set.
Another thing I had is audience interaction and this show had plenty of it. It made for a very uncomfortable atmosphere and all I wanted to do was leave. This has nothing to do with disturbing imagery or anything just I don't want to be put on the spot while I should be sitting and enjoying a show. To me the director was going for a whole lot of style with very little substance.

I for one do NOT wish to see a nut as tough to crack as Christopher Marlowe's Doctor Faustus helmed by Mister Big. Thankyouverymuch.

Mr. Big is now the governor of Illinois, so you show some respect!
