If they don't it will be a major disappointment to lose such an original and fresh score!

i mean a score like good vibrations is only a once in a lifetime kinda show that is so totally fresh and needs to be recorded because all shows need to be recorded to preserve their score even if it is a jukebox musical that is available already in athousand other cds that are already available

Yes, "The Capeman" must be released before "Good Vibrations" even walks past a recording studio.
I actually have the unreleased "Capeman" score somewhere. (No PMs, please...)

this blows chunks. caroline or change gets one but noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo not a original show like good vibrations. looks like its just all about trying to make money on broadway and turning a profit thats why these shows that show what kind of show can be good cant show off on cd.
it sucks.
it sucks.

Like Toni Koosnar and Jane Tesory or whatever the hell her name is knows something about theatre that Brian Wilson doesn't!

What is the purpose of this thread? from what I can tell, the general feeling is that shows without original scores do not deserve to be recorded. That would wipe out all reviews such as Ain't Misbehavin' and Smokey Joe's Cafe as well as the future recording of All Shook Up. Personally, I'd much rather listen to the original performances of the cast in the unoriginal score of Good Vibrations, than listen to the original score of Brooklyn again.

If they are mocking Bryan, it still doesn't make much sense.

No I am not mocking Mr. Wilson. He is one of the most experienced and gifted composers of popular culture, certainly one of the most dedicated. His music is infectious and delightful. The show they made out of it however is not. Nor is the singing or acting or book so the actual memories of the Beach Boys fail to win over what is right in front of us.

Bryan, the guy who posts almost weekly about a GV recording, not Brian Wilson, Sum

Ahhhh I gotcha, alright I wanted that cleared up because I in no way meant offense to the music of Mr. Wilson although Good Vibrations can't make the same claim.

Brian Wilson is a musical genius, and I don't think any of us would ever poke fun at him.

Thank God for this thread! Ever day I wonder "Will TODAY be the day Bryan gets his cast recording of GV?" All I know is that EVERY single BROADWAY Show DESERVES a cast recording! Especially THIS ONE!!
And no, I couldn't bring myself to misspell every other word....
