For me this is a very interisting thread. I live in the suburbs of NYC. I go to school in NYC and go to a broadway show as often as I can. That being said I have spoken to someone who is not from the city that finds it amazing that I can actually go to a broadway show as often as I want. Now, I personally think that the novelity of seeing a broadway show and going to a broadway theatre has worn off. Only because I live there and it's become more a part of every day life then anything else. There have been lots of times when I am walking round the city and have nothing to do so I would say to myself " why not go see a broadway show." Out of all the times I have up and gone to a broadway show myself that even though it is fun. It doesn't seem at all like an event. That is why I don't even dress up to go to the theatre. I go to a broadway show so often that it feels more like normal life then it does an event. And It has yet to blur my sences on what is good and what is bad. There have been times where I couldn't get enough of one show and went to see that particular show over and over agin. Right now Les Miserables is that partiuclar show. But, After a long day at high school its fun to take the subway uptown on a friday evening and to go see a show. How I hope that I weill never get tired of it.
