I know that they did so during the preview period, and that it was up in the air as to them doing it or not once the show actually opened.
I was wondering if anyone knew for sure if they were selling Student rush ?
Also, Do they by chance sell SRO regardless, or are they very strict about it only being sold when the theatre is sold out?

Yes, they do. I believe it's whatever is left over that night.

When I was there during previews, it was front row and then whatever was left. $26.50, when the box office opens. I have no idea if that policy still stands, though.
Last time I asked a week or so ago they were in the process of moving the student rush tickets back to the front row but I have no idea if that's still happening

Yeah it's front row sold first then whatever is left.
Thanks, I knew that they were selling them during previews, and then the last I heard of any sort of student rush for that show was that they were going to wait and see if they were going to continue to sell them after the show opened.
Oh good! I still need to head to the Shubert to see this.
I was thinking of doing the student rush this week for the Wednesday afternoon show. Does anyone know how early people are showing up for it now?
I don't think you have to get there early. The show isn't overly popular, but because it's spring break maybe it wouldn't to get there a little early.
Thanks, I figured it may be a little more crowded this week. I cant get there until about 9 so I'm debating if its worth it.

Jess03187, go! 'Memphis' is definitely worth it. I've had friends do student rush, and even if the front row is sold out, they might offer you seats in the orchestra or front mezzanine off to the sides. I've sat there, and you can see pretty well. And I doubt that a matinee would be sold out, so even if you get there after the box office opens, you oughta be fine. And for $26.50, it's a great bargain! Updated On: 3/29/10 at 06:00 PM
If their SRO policy is anything like when Spamalot was there, then they'll only sell it when it's sold out(or nearly sold out). and based on their grosses/attendance, it doesn't look like they've sold SRO at all.
Thank you so much for the info, I did actually see this in its first few weeks of opening and enjoyed it a lot. Hopefully I will get lucky and score some front row tickets to see it again.
