black and white playbills? For me, it is such a turn off. I hate black and white playbills, and I've never gotten a color one!

I think it depends on what the logo looks like in black and white versus in color. Some shows, like Faith Healer and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, look fine either way. On the other hand, the playbills for Curtains and Drowsy Chaperone looked better in color.

Um no. If the show needs to cut a few bucks to save money, I'd much rather them change the playbill cover then any element of the actual show. If you want a color playbill so bad, try ebay or the flea market in September.

It doesn't really matter to me. Are they pretty in color? Sure. But if you've never seen one in color you don't know the difference. Until I moved hre and could see shows within the first bits of opening, I didn't know there was a difference. But as in the seat question, I'm more interested in seeing the show than in what the playbill looks like.

And like RockabyeHamlet said, if it's between keeping the playbills in color and dropping some aspect of the show or keeping the show as it is and changing to black and white on the playbill, which would you rather see happen?

It doesn't matter to me and if it saves them money to keep them running, I say, go ahead!

It depends. I agree with the stament that if they have to save money it is okay to use black and white as oppose to color considering the act that color coasts more to print. When most shows open up they have more money to spend on a color playbill because they have a lot of money comming in because they just opened up. But as the show plays for a while it coasts a lot to make color playbills so they go to black and white.

personally, I think that some shows look better in color. I also think that if they change the logo on the playbill as some of them do when they are changing from color to black and white it cn loog good.

It is also the same for me as the seating qusiton. I could care less about where I sit I just want to see the show peroid.

I hate them less than I hate ambiguous subject headers.
