It's my understanding that Andrew Lloyd Webber is going to re-mount the Broadway production in the U.K. and tour over there.

I've heard of nothing of anything in the U.S.

It is going to tour. I know of at least one upcoming Broadway Series that has already booked the show in its series.

When the closing was announced either on Broadway.com or Playbill.com, it was mentioned that a US tour was in the works.

If it is made part of the Broadway Series, it will sell well in an city that picks it up for the series based on subscription sales alone. I just hope they can have a fountain like the one on Broadway. That was spectacular!

i seem to recall a Playbill or Variety article reporting it was to play India on tour...something about actually playing Bombay...

There are talks about it playing Mumbai (Bombay) as well as other Asian cities. They'll have to retool a LOT though, since those audiences know Bollywood inside and out. They are planning on casting local actors.

I was called in for this show last month, so maybe it is going to tour the US.

Yes, there is a Bombay Dreams First National US going out. It is scheduled to start around Dec. or Jan. I believe it's being produced by Theatre of the Stars in Atlanta, and other Independant Producers; such as Theatre Under the Stars in Houston. Check their websites for details...

No, the Bombay Dreams tour will not happen. Instead, they are
