Hello,
A couple of years ago I met a stage-doorer who was really cool and took a picture of me with someone. She's an older lady from Las Vegas (she told me she's a security guard) and I gave her my email address to send me the picture she took (she said her husband would email me the picture as she wasn't good with computers) but I never received it. She usually takes pictures of the actors, gets them printed and gets them to sign it soon after that. It seemed like she would take a week off from her job in Las Vegas just to stage door in NYC. If anyone has any information on this person, it would be appreciated!
Thanks.
Did you give her money?
Not sure if this is who you're talking about, but I've encountered a (very pushy) older lady who waits at stage doors for the actors to come in before the show. I've seen her grab actors by the sleeve, go up to them while they're on the phone, etc.
She sounds a bit weird to me and if you have not received something from her in a couple of years I would let it go.

Good luck finding her. I would always insist on using my own camera for those situations.
Rainbowhigh23 - Good point. Only the good Lord knows what she may do with these pictures.

^ Uh oh! Photoshop is very easy to use. Yikes!
I did meet an older woman from the West Coast once who tried to walk through stage door at Streetcar and the guard stopped her, she claimed she was friends with DRV yet she wasn't on any list. I felt embarassed for her because she tried walk in behind people who truly were on the list and she was stopped in front of everyone at the stage door. DRV definitely was sweet to her as she had seen her before but there was no backstage for this woman. She reminded me of the person an earlier poster mentioned, the woman who would wait before the show and grab the actors by the arm to get their attention. Of course if you go enough times the actors will remember you and scream and be happy to see you, but if you still gotta stage door when you've told people you're friends with the actors, that's sad.

I was so embarrassed the time Vanessa Redgrave grabbed my arm and screamed, "Let's have a kiki!"

Yeah it was a couple of years ago.. she didn't seem pushy or anything.. but I'll probably never see the picture. The picture was with Laura Harris after the opening night of The Understudy (yeah.. it was that long ago). My camera ran out of batteries and she had a REALLY GOOD camera. She was also really short. I don't know.. figured I'd give it a shot on the board.
boonanas - sorry, running out of batteries never does happen at a good time.
