Come on people! The man needs money! Think about one day when you are trying to start off in this business. He's a good man with talent and once he gets that BIG break, you know he's gonna be HUGE! So, in the mean time give what you can to this website:

Posted: 3/20/05 at 6:59pmI'm sure if he really did sell his smelly underwear (like what he said his his journal) in return for donations, he would make a lot of money. :-P

Posted: 3/20/05 at 6:59pmThis is the most disturbing thing I've ever seen on this or any other message board. The fact that I'm the only one here that's confused and disturbed, speaks volumes. Are you sh**ing me? I knew I never liked this smarmy guy during all the idol worship that went on during BARE. Get a darn job like the rest of the able bodied people of the world. I also think it's in very poor taste to "poke fun" at the Tsunami disaster. Why is this guy begging for money on the internet? And why is it "ok"?

Thank you, Al Dente.
I've lost so much respect for John Hill. Not that he had much of my respect, anyway.

Posted: 3/20/05 at 7:08pmThat's what makes it so disturbing, it IS. Has he no shame or dignity? We should be financially responsible for his inability to get lucrative acting work and/or his lack of financial acumen?

To quote one my favorite lines from "The Empire Strikes Back",
"I'd just assume kiss a Wookie".

Amen, Al Dente.
Al Dente is saying everything that I am thinking. I love it.

Anyone who would say anything to the contrary is either lying, trying to be polite, or is Hill himself. This is unlike any other "low stooping" I've seen. What poor taste to make fun of the Tsunami disaster, even if it was in jest. Total nonsense. Last I checked, Hill didn't lose his entire life in a natural disaster. He's just a spoiled, lazy actor, riddled with entitlement issues.

I don't think it was intended to be for real...People are just taking it as that way.
And don't comment till you read his journal. That explains most of it anyway...

Posted: 3/20/05 at 7:24pmBy all means Paradox, enlighten us. I'm not a big enough Hill fan to have read anything other than the link posted here. And I sincerely doubt any "explanation" would justify that plea.

It seems to me at least that this is just a joke that went too far. John Hill has a VERY weird sense of humor (if you read his journal). But making fun of the Tsunami disaster is very distasteful.

Posted: 3/20/05 at 7:27pmI like to think I have a good enough sense of humour to *get* sarcasm when I see it, but this seems more like a psychotic episode.

Oh I don't think this is tasteful at all, but it is hardly in the vein that you have taken it.
His journal explanation of this is quite hilarious...
