Donna Lynne Champlin Appreciation Thread

I searched, and didn't see one. How does this girl NOT have an appreciation thread?! Her "Finishing The Hat" gig the other night was the best cabaret I've ever seen (and of course, we all loved her in "Sweeney", right?).

So, here's to Donna Lynne. Donna Lynne Champlin Appreciation Thread Jump on in and show some love.

Donna was by far one of the most underrated actors in ST. She is FREAKING AMAZING! All the best to Donna in all upcoming projects.

And those faces as Pirelli! THE FUNNIEST :)

Saw her kick some major ass in HOLLYWOOD ARMS a few years ago, and then tear it up this year in SWEENEY.

Fantastic actress. I look forward to seeing her do some more dramatic work.

If you are the person who gave her the assball, Color & Light. Told the whole story about how you gave it to her. She made up a three act Chekhovian play about it in her head. LOL.

Color and Light, you gave her the infamous ass-ball? Awesome. Yeah she had a whole skit about it during her lovely cabaret. Donna Lynne kicks ass and her 3 part cabaret rocked!!!

PS. She's a rock star.

re: Donna Lynne Champlin Appreciation Thread

Did she tell the "stalking Brian d'Arcy James" story the other night? That is hilarious!

YES!!

I laughed harder than I have in a long time, but there were also moments where she told stories that left me completely heartbroken for her!

But really, she was just amazing. I was SO impressed with her, I'm really hoping she does the show again!

re: Donna Lynne Champlin Appreciation Thread

i think it's really incredible how someone could take a story that could be so tragic and make it hilarious. Like her every girl's dream story. i've seen two out of the three times she's done finishing the hat at ars nova and i must say her stories were even funnier the second time. How does she do it?

Anyway, Donna Lynne is a big hero to me. It was a year ago that i got to meet her and I actually think she was the first broadway star i'd ever met. She's awesome.

Oh dear! What all did she say? I wish I could have gone to her last show, she's such a dear!

re

DL is amazing. And yes, Color and Light, she showed the assball, and told the story of how you gave it to her.

For everyone who was at the show, I highly recommend you call the telephone number she gave out (remember?) It'll be worth your while.

re: Assball

I cant believe she told the David story... that was the last story I was expecting her to tell. I was unable to go due to a death in the family, sadly, so I missed it.... but friends called to report after the show.

Oh man, but yo. Call the number. I <3 her. She's crazy lol

ETA: About the assball...... hah PM me or get me on AIM: ShubertGoddess and I'll explain. Then you'll understand why one of our posters gave her one lol
