Saw that the "Donny Nova Band" from the Broadway show "Bandstand" will be appearing at Birdland on 11/27. Would love to be able to go see that show !!

Oh wow...tickets "off sale" - guess it sold out, it's only been a day. Would love to go to that too. Didn't care much for the show's book but loved the performances.

I love that they're doing this, and that there was enough interest for it to sell out! Wish I lived closer and could go!

For anyone who missed this show at Birdland on 11/27, they are doing two more shows on March 11-12, 2018. The first show sold out quickly so get your tickets fast.

Right now it looks like they still have tickets for both Sunday and Monday.
For Bandstand fans, this should be a lot of fun. See the cast in concert in an intimate setting.
For perhaps the second time ever on Broadway, the ticket prices were actually cheaper than I expected. Sixty dollars for center seating including autographed Playbill. Thirty five for side seating and bar area.
Even the top tickets, with meet and greet, are 100 bucks.

Anyone have a suggestion/opinion for bar seating vs. side seating? Never been to birdland and don't know if one is better than the other, since they are the same price.
Ever since I saw Corey in WSS I've been listening to Bandstand nonstop and there are still tickets for birdland so thinking about going.

I’ve never been there, but it’s an intimate venue. Google ‘Birdland Seating Chart’. The side seating area faces the left side of the stage. The bar area is over on the right side of the stage. The main difference may be that at the bar you may sit on a bar stool or a high bar chair, and have to turn to see the stage. Also, there are no reserved seats. If you buy tickets for the left side, then it’s first come first served for the seats in that section.

I've only been there once (side seating) and got put in the table in the back against the wall next to the doorway / entry to the kitchen, it was a raised chair which was nice. There was a pole in the way but didn't obstruct my view of the stage, so it was perfectly fine. Grabbed a ticket to this one too so will see where they put me this time. Venue is intimate.
Cool little place, wish they had more Broadway performers more often!

There are about a dozen clips on Youtube of the original Bandstand reunion at Birdland. But it seems that they just had one fixed camera pointed at the stage. I didn't see any views of the seats surrounding the stage.
I had to pull myself away so I didn't end up seeing the show in advance on Youtube. It's going to be great though. The band/cast is so informal and no one is going to be far from the stage. I just link one number here that I don't think they will be doing next month: "White Christmas."

There were also some funny lines that they may or may not use again.

I thought it was general admission? Was trying to catch Once on this island before going to Birdland, since doors open at 5 and OOTI is short
And thanks @olblueeyes for that, I agree I think it’ll be good from any angle and hopefully I’ll just be able to see and not blocked by something big
