I'll say it once, I'll say it again: It shouldn't matter what the critics and producerssay, it should be what the fans say. I loved that musical to no end. I unfortunately only saw it in previews. What I remember most, beside the incredible songs, was the cast. They were superb! Heck, I don't think any of them were really stuck up when I met them. I had the supporting cast autograph my Playbill and Tom and Melissa were even niceenough when i asked to personalize the autographs on my poster.

It's Sad though, I've heard most of the studio recording and it has changed alot since the show had started. One of my all time favorite songs "The Master's Song" is really slowed down, and "If I Could Fly" is not on it. But hey, I will still buy the CD when it comes out. It was great fun to watch.

Not only did I HATE this show, but there was not one memorable song in it. It was like left over excretions from J&H.

"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

i too hated this show. i thought the book was horrendous...so disappointed in christpher hampton. and the prodcution itself took the easy way out everywhere and was such a spectacle for no reason. kelli was fantastic and i love melissa (i'm all about the yalies)...but i laughed out loud many times when it wasn't supposed to be funny.

The first time I saw dracula, I absoulutely hated it. I thought it was boring. I didn't care about what was going on. I didn't think any of the songs were memorable. Then, my friend told me to give it another chance. I saw it 3 more times after that. There was so much more to Dracula The Musical than people thought. Moments of the show were truly spectactular. It remains one of my favorites. I love it.

Well, it was my birthday...and I wish I could have those two hours or so of my life back...

The show ran through Broadway with potential. No one ever fixed it so it could live up to its potential.

Wildhorn worked for many, many years on J&H. I feel he should have worked longer on Dracula.

I completely disagree with the term spectacle. I didn't really think that there was anything that spectacular about the shows design at all. It was a very dark show (dim lighting), the over-hyped set was nothing more than a few large pieces and some moving legs, and the music was provided by a bunch of keyboards. Now if you want to call that a spectacle, then by all means go for it, but it was a very dimly lit and boring one in that case.....Could have been SOOO much better!

See Ya!

Wait, so a lot of people here liked Dracula? Maybe I'll give it a chance then...

Jimmy, what are you doing here in the middle of the night? It's almost 9 PM!
