Okay last night I went to see Forgetting Sarah Marshall, freakin hysterical movie. Anyhoo, Jason segal played a composer who was composing a musical a la avenue Q style, called, Dracula - the puppet musical". They actually show some of the musical at the end, and I was laughing my ass off.
Some company should pick this up and make it an actual musical. I would spend 125 bucks to see it.
Anyhoo, go see the movie

It was very cute, and probably the best vampire musical to date.
And Stephanie D'Abruzzo was one of the puppeteers.

Was wondering if that was Stephanie D. It looked and sounded like her, but she wasn't listed on IMDB that I could see...

I think this will be one of my favorite movies of all time!
I loved the Dracula musical subplot, the impromtu performance at the bar was cute/funny and the final product was so entertaining (with alot of help from Bill Hader as Van Helsing and Stephanie, always love spotting Bway people in films).
I read that Segel actually tried to write a Dracula puppet musical before he became successful and is also a huge Muppet fan and will be writing a new feature film to restart the franchize.

Segel (Peter) was singing something about the Muppets (but I could not make out the lyrics) in his hotel room before he dissolved into sobs. Funny. The Dracula songs are just hysterically funny

Proud to say I spotted Stephanie right away, and the pointed her out to my friend. (Who frankly didn't care at all.)

Posted: 4/21/08 at 6:19pmhe was singing a few bars of the Muppet Show theme song, it was hard for me to make it out since he was going so slow and kept stopping to whimper but when I finally heard him sing "on the Muppet show toni..." I realized what was happening and started laughing my ass off.

Posted: 4/21/08 at 6:30pmJason Segal was on Opie and Anthony and said he wrote this musical a few years ago when nothing was happening with his career. He said he was DEAD serious about it. When he showed it to Judd Apitow, he said "Oh My God we have to use this!!!"
