A bit disapppointed with the song selection, I must say:
I was hoping for One More Lonely Night, Modern World, Nosferatu, and How Do You Choose?
But I can't be a chooser, I guess!
Can't wait!

Well, at least it has a great cast.
Norm Lewis could sing the phone book and I'd buy it.
Has a release date been set yet?
I don't think one has been announced. They keep saying "soon...".

No A QUIET LIFE!
JESUS
I thought there was a two disc concept album, a highlights, and a "karaoke"...?
Great cast but...I would've preferred the OBC.

totally depressing. never send a producer to do a fan's job...

Exactly.
See, they cut all the songs they need Dr. Seward, Quincey, and Arthur for because theren't aren't any actors....and Dracula the show itself has no ensemble....except for the vampire brides...
It may have cost more money, but Euan and Rob could have doubled as the other three.
And "Girls of the Night" - isn't that J&H?

Yeah,I can understand why there were no actors....after reading Reidel's column about it....and seeing Melissa's visible disgust at Frank on closing night.
What a letdown
I expected what was on Broadway & more.
WHY ?
the live sound boards for "The Master's Song", "How Do You Choose?" and "Deep in the Darkest Night" can still be downloaded from the multimedia section at Shonn Wiley's website... that's probably the best audio we'll ever have for "How Do You Choose?"...

boo. i don't even want this demo cd. it won't be remotetly like the actual broadway musical which i love.
wait.
those clips on shonn wiley's website.
if those exist...doesn't that mean that a recording of the whole show of that quality exists? where is it? why don't they just release that?
those are recordings from the soundboard they are not high enough quality to produce, let along all of the legal issues.
awww. i'd like a dracula soundboard recording! i wish i could have one.
i heart shonn wiley.

Norm Lewis and James Barbour? I know absolutely nothing about Dracula's music, but with these two on one recording, I can die a happy musical lover (after I've seen Michael Ball).

Fingers crossed for a trip this winter.
BSoBW2 - I think you may be a little confused, lol....
OVER WHITBY BAY.....IS the Broadway reconstruction of "One More Lonely Night".....They ARE the same song, one is just from the La Jolla Premier, and one is the new version from the recent Broadway incarnation. (The lyrics are a bit different as well!)
In terms of the "Girls In The Night".....Unforntunately the not so fabulous book and lyrics by Black and Hampton never really described who the three vampire-ish girls were or what their purpose was for over-taking the stage between almost every freaing scene in the show, lol.
I love Dracula the musical and saw it several times, but I am really wanting to have a recording of the German cast. The German production is so much better, it basically combines all of the best elements of the La Jolla and Broadway productions, that make Dracula into what it really could've been in New York. The show's design is quite a bit different, but innovative non-the-less! I love the cast as it stands right now, and the show sounds so much better with the slightly larger amount of musicians that the German company posesses.....Great Show!
.....I am so excited about this CD however!

In response to the Michael Ball comment...
I don't see what people love about him so much. I find his voice hard to listen to and his vibrato annoying!! When I listen to the LES MIZ dream cast, I skip all of Ball's music.
