How about American Idol's Fantasia as Dorothy in The Wiz?

Posted: 8/31/04 at 12:59pmwell, that's certainly your option...but in theory, why would playing golda meir be any different than playing any other character? of course, some people will have more of a flair for golda than others, but that's true of any role.

Posted: 8/31/04 at 1:11pmi used to think that as well, then i read "True and False" by David Mamet...not so sure anymore...some roles are perhaps more demanding physically or vocally, but i don't think playing Mama Rose is any different that playing Hamlet...but that's just me
