Dreamgirls LA Times Calendar article...#1

For those of you interested in being a fly on the wall, there is a fascinating article in today's Los Angeles Times Calendar section, complete with several full color photos that I've not seen published anywhere else before.

The article is primarily a detailed account (via a journalist/extra) of the filming of "Love, Love You Baby," which is a snippet of a song that happens just at the end of Effie's "And I'm Tellin' You" moment. (It closes out Act I in the Broadway show.)

There is an on-line version of this article, sadly without the incredible photos...


EDIT: Whooops! Most of the photos are there... just off to the side in a gallery, and not nearly as HUGE as they are in the newspaper itself! The one that's missing is the one of the actual "Love, Love You Baby" number itself (complete with the beehive hairdos, blue gowns, "sea foam scarfs"... and big fireworks behind the girls).

EDIT 2: The article also incorrectly talks about this song as "Love, Love ME Baby"... It's "Love, Love You Baby," for those i-dotters and t-crossers.
