No one knows. There was a thread a few days ago asking about it. It's mostly likely just something recorded by studio singers to cash in on the movie.

No one knows anything on this so-called 'tribute' album. Most assume it's just a budget studio recording with nobodys.
If this were indeed a star-studded celebrity Tribute Album, info on this would have been heavily mentioned and promoted everywhere.

From what I've found online it looks like there are 2 Dreamgirls "Tribute" albums about to be released. One is "Tribute to Dreamgirls" and the artists are listed as the "Stage Door Players". Typically this would indicate a low budget bargain bin knock off recording. The other is titled "Tribute to the Soundtrack Dreamgirls" and it's put out by CC Entertainment. The "CC" appears to be short for CopyCats and it seems as if all of their recordings are piano tributes. I think they have a piano tribute to Wicked that's currently in release.
