Dress code for Carnegie Hall?

Hi everyone!

I'll be attending the Audra Mcdonald concert on 4/29 at the Isaac Stern Auditorium and I was wondering what the dress code for a 'semi-classical' concert would be. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

You can wear whatever you want.

I mean, I would wear only clothes I would get married in.

I've been there for concerts and what I've worn is black pants and a nice top.
Some people wear fancy dresses and other people just wear jeans and t-shirts.

Thanks everyone for your replies...I guess I'll be packing another suit for my trip!

I'll be in NYC from 4/24-4/30 seeing 'Rent Concert'(4/24),
'Lestat'(4/28 @ 8:00 PM), 'Three Days of Rain'(4/29 @ 2:00 PM), 'Sweeney Todd'(4/27 @ 8:00 PM), 'Tarzan'(4/26 @ 8:00 PM) and 'A night with Audra Mcdonald' (4/29 @ 8:00).

Is anyone else attending any of these?

I'll be there as well. I plan on just wearing dress pants and a button down shirt.

honestly, i don't think there's a need for a suit. I've showed up in jeans and sneakers, but jeans and a nice button down shirt would be fine.
