Why would Drood want to spend $ performing when it won't benefit the show? Makes sense to me.

With the exception of possible CD sales I'd say Drood benefits the least. The other revivals are still open so they can get ticket/CD sales and Cinderella has a new book that will probably be available to regional theatres at some point.
Bring It On and Christmas Story can be done regionally and isn't Christmas Story coming back this year? So they have those benefits on top of CDs.
Drood just has no reason except to highlight the nominees and sell some CDs - maybe

Christmas Story is coming back 'cause they are coming back for a Winter 2013-2014 run.
