Has there been any announcements on the tour cast? I went to the website and it just gave me a bunch of links to the tour stops? Would any of the current broadway cast be touring?
it;s on tour now with Nancy Opel as the chaperone, Marla mindell? is kitty.. Andrea Chamberlin is Janet.
by the way theaterboy, all i did was go to the drowsy tour site and go to cast bios
I just saw the tour this afternoon. I've been spoiled in seeing the original cast 3 times, but this cast is doing a perfect job. I REALLY enjoyed Jonathan Crombie on Broadway and I find him to be even better. Georgia Engel is still perfection as Mrs. Tottendale. Andrea Chamberlain makes an excellent Janet. She sings the hell out of "Bride's Lament." Nancy Opel is good as the Chaperone. I can see her growing more into the role. The gangsters seemed to steal the show for the crowd that was there this afternoon. The auditorium seemed to light up whenever they came on stage.
Walking out, I heard nothing but great things from everyone!
All of the reviews of the tour have been sensational.
Thats great to hear as its in chicago during my the month of my birthday. The bway in chicago site gave a bad link i guess, thanks for the cast bio link!

Avenue Q is playing ON my birthday. I'm also looking foward to seeing this. Also, someone told me bob martin was on tour for the first few cities. Is that true?
Martin did the show in Toronto, where the tour originated. After that, he was replaced by Jonathan Crombie.
Must have heard that during the toronto run. Thank you!
No matter what you will have fun watching this show. I have read great things about the Tour and I am really looking forward to it. Bob has said he might make appearances so you heard correctly but he didn't specify where or when. Probably not until next year when his Baby can travel better.
Chicago is a big City, Martin would maybe come if Oprah asked him to? Jonathan Crombie though is having fun in the role so you won't be missing out too much. I really enjoyed his performance and being a friend of Bob Martins adds to his understanding of how the character is suppose to be played.
Jonathan finally let out that he also played a part in Drowsy coming together in the beginning so hopefully that comes across when he plays MIC on stage for you. It seems to have a better than average cast with it so I hope you find it Entertaining.
It is too bad Chicago could only pick it up for two weeks though. They would have stayed longer but scheduling was a big problem so I hope you can buy your ticket early enough.
I am lucky to be seeing the tour again next weekend. I'm delighted by the reviews.
I know you are so lucky Miss Pennywise! Hopefully a few more from the Board here will join you too at that show! Say hello to everyone and make sure that special someone gets his picture taken with Aldopho! I bet that James Moye will be happy to meet a fan.
Sorry, I had to fix that. I met Danny who played Aldopho in New York and he is so nice to his fans. I bet James is very nice too!

Tkt, I'm going to see the tour, so no Danny. Unless you know something I don't!
No, you caught my message before I had time to fix it! I always said it is difficult for me to see anyone except Beth and Danny in those roles. Sorry!! I'll give the new players a chance I promise!
Truly, I have never seen a touring company that so well represented a show on Broadway. I'm really looking forward to seeing this company again. It's been 2 months...I bet they're even more wonderful now that they've been together for two months.
I am going on Sunday Dec 2nd the 6pm show in Philly to see it....I saw it 3 times with the obc so this should be different...I am taking my dad cause he hasn't seen it yet and I am positive he is going to love it
Even though I haven't seen it, I'm obsessed with this show. I'll probably go to Pittsburgh to see it. Maybe if the strike ends I could go see it in NYC.
I'm seeing it this Thursday for the first time in Philly, and am looking forward to it after all the good reviews.
I'll be covering it for BWW on press night, which is tomorrow (Tues) night. I admit to being a Drowsy virgin, which is something I never thought I'd be able to say!
Jonathan & Miss P, looks like I'll miss you again ;(
