Saw Broadwaygirl post on twitter that Duncan Sheik is no longer working on American Psycho as he has checked into rehab for alcoholism. Does this mean he's off the show for good, or just taking a break from it until he recovers?
Either way, it's great to see he is addressing his addiction, and I still hope he will be on the project with his great talent....

Posted: 6/7/11 at 7:13pmHe was supposed to be kicking off a concert tour tomorrow in New York -- the tour has been canceled according to his website.

Posted: 6/7/11 at 7:59pmI wish the talented Mr. Sheik a speedy recovery and hope he is able to successfully beat his demons so he can continue his already fine work in the musical theatre. Glad he's seeking the help he needs. :)

Posted: 6/7/11 at 8:07pmWow, I was debating on whether to treat myself to a ticket for the NY show. This is so sad to hear but glad he is trying to take care of it. I met him on the final night of previews for Spring Awakening off-Broadway and he was such a sweetheart. Wishing him a speedy recovery.
