And if the creators of this (being the ones that it's about) are ok with this, how is it any of our business?

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

To each their own, but why anyone here tries to engage with Dave82 on any conversation about race is beyond me. Not that BWW race conversations are ever necessarily productive, but still.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

There are often American performers in European productions. AEA does not have jurisdiction there, so it's not a union issue. With one exception, the Americans I know who have performed in Europe auditioned locally and had a place to stay. Generally speaking, the productions are not actively looking for "outside" talent.
