Hi

I've just come back from london and saw the lion king and blood brothers. Both absolutely amazing.

Does anyone know where you can get a filming of shows from the west end on video or dvd?

Thanks
Dolly x

You can't get them legally if thats what you mean.

If you're asking about those two, Mark E is right, but there is a surprisingly large number of other West End shows available on DVD - Jerry Springer the Opera, Acorn Antiques, Taboo, Our House, Kiss Me Kate etc. Check www.dresscircle.com for a more comprehensive list.

And then thers the (1999(?) video versions of Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar and Joseph. Also the film versions of Chicago, Phantom etc.

I guess thers the Lion King movie but i highly doubt a release of the stage version of those two shows will ever be released. Especially Blood Brothers.

I agree - I'm sure I read somewhere that Willy Russell was working on a film treatment of Blood Brothers, but that's probably the closest we'll get to any release (if it happens at all!)
