This film is now showing on two chanels on australian tv, has there ever been any talk of a stage adaptation of this film? I seem to recall about ten to fifteen years ago aussie actress Rhonda Burchmore was doing some workshops with Tommy Tune, have no idea where? Anyone shead some light on this

Rhonda Burchmore, who was cast in the Ann Miller role Nadine, uploaded an episode of her YouTube series where she discusses the show in detail. It’s got unseen footage from the rehearsals and some great Tommy stories. Such a shame the production never made it to Broadway!

The Tommy Tune-Sandy Duncan led Broadway-bound stage adaptation was scheduled to start its out-of-town tryout in December 1998 in Seattle's 5th Avenue Musical Theatre, but it never happened.  Entire production was put on hold then hoped to arrive on Broadway in 2000, but that never happened either.
