ELAINE STRITCH WINS EMMY FOR LIBERTY!

ROCK ON, MRS. STRITCH!

Yes folks, she's still here!
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Uh Oh. They cut her off. Methinks she'll have somethin' to say about that!
"Noah, someday we'll talk again. But there's things we'll never say. That sorrow deep inside you. It inside me, too. And it never go away. You be okay. You'll learn how to lose things..."

And OMG, WHAT an acceptance speech!!

"I'm not leaving until someone takes me off the stage!"

GOOD FOR YOU, BABES!

She just kept talking so they went to a clip of something else.

She said "I'm just gonna keep naming names until you cut me off" and that is just what she did.

The end of her speech was " - I don't like that guy very much, but he paid for it, so tonight, I like him. [Name], [Name], [Name], [Name]... and then the lights dimmed and a video promo played.

We in the northeast got to see her finish her entire speech. It ended with "You just never f-ing know".

re: ELAINE STRITCH WINS EMMY FOR LIBERTY!

Yup, I heard that. But she literally said "F-ing" and bleeped herself, so I don't think they will cut it when it airs on the West Coast.

yeah, it was pretty funny. After that comment, the band just played as loud as possible and she had no choice but to stop.

re: ELAINE STRITCH WINS EMMY FOR LIBERTY!

Actually, she kinda walked off immediately after she said that, so I think she meant to end it with that.
Ah yes, that's the response I expected. re: ELAINE STRITCH WINS EMMY FOR LIBERTY!

That was the moment for me. I'll be shocked if anything tops that tonight.

John Stewart and the host are all praising her now.

Just told by someone from the press room that they are having a blast with her!
