I know we're getting off-topic, but one more. In Another Day, I LOVE how he says "The fire's out anyway" near the end of the song. *cries* So sad, so BEAUTIFUL!
Yes, our Adam is far too talented.

Ah! i JUST finished listening to that!
yeah it was really funny!! TGITF was like "so i hear you had some problems with the traffic" or something and he was "Oh man yeah. It was just that day" He said it was because there was a shooting or something. I don't remember exactly what he said...Emcee my favorite little detail freak would have to tell you!! It was an incredible day though!

I love that line too GITF! What's your favorite Adam/Rent song?
Cara, you're too late! It's already done!! Emcee took private message requests for her word-for-word detailed account.

Augh! Sounds great...I'm yet to see Adam, but I'm seeing Aida on Saturday night, although Adam won't be there (but I'm okay with that :))
Glad your night lived up to your expectations :)
My fav. AIDA/RENT song? I cant choose!! I'll pull an Emcee and try to avoid the question!
I didn't avoid that question!! I just gave a long, roundabout answer.

I think Another Day or What You Own is my favorite. But it is hard to pick.
I'll send it to youuuuu. Those sorts of details aren't for public consumption. And if they want it, they'll ask!

Go check, NNY.
Ok, lets see...
from RENT: I seriously cannot pick. Glory is so moving and personal to me. When i was upset in middle school (wow that was ages ago) I would just listen to that song over and over again. Your Eyes is so touching, What You Own is awesome, and Another Day i love his voice in it. Out of those four i would have to say Glory just because it IS personal.
AIDA: again - do i HAVE to pick? Like Father, Like Son is great because it is in the perfect range for him. Plus it allows him to show his "rocker" side during the show. EL - really? Need i say more? I get chills when i hear it live. Written in the Stars is soo pretty. Fortune Favors the Brave - beyond sexy. Radames letter - aww! he gets to show is softer/sweet side. To short for me though but when he sings "i love you" i get weak in the knees. Enchantment passing through - its very sweet and love when he sings "Will forget" (on the recording taht is)So what is my answer? Hmmm. It HAS to be EL. ITs great and THEN when Heather (or whoever Aida is at the time)joins in for "We all lead" its just beyond words. I love the harmony!!
Cabaret: I dont care much!! - plan and simple!! :)
Well done... I taught you well.
I go through phases with the songs in Rent and Aida. I don't have ONE favorite.
Its basically the song that is on at the time.
My runners up are "Another Day" and "Like Father Like Son"

I change a lot, too. I love Christmas Bells, when Mark sings 'but I am over her' and I've only recently been able to hear 'let's go to the lot, Maureen's performing'.
Sorry for the threadjack. Should I stop? Does it bother anyone?
It's all related.
christmas bells is am amazing song. I didnt count it in my long thing because he isnt in it enough for that particular post. and yes i also love when anthony rapp sings "but i am over her" also when he goes "woah!"

And it's beggining to snow.
I like Maureen's entrance, too.
My favorite song from RENT is, without a doubt, Out Tonight. I can listen to that song twenty times in a row by any singer and not get bored. I love all the riffs and high notes and whatnot.
My favorite Adam/RENT song is What You Own. A very pretty song with a nice social commentary.
And I must admit, the "But I'm over her" line is the greatest!

hahhaha i'm still dying you actually got him with the spork...
*laughs forever*
From Rent "One Song Glory" definitely for me. I love blasting that with the windows rolled down, sunroof open, when I'm driving down the highway. AIDA, hmmm. I'm stuck between Fortune, Elaborate Lives and Radames Letter.
Everytime I think of the Spork story, I crack up. Oh, to have all that on video! SammyGal, love your icon. I have one of him that cracks me up whenever I look at it.
