did anyone else think "The Little Mermaid" when the Prince vows to find that voice when Giselle sings. I thought that was a pretty obvious one. I believe it occurred in the opening animated sequence, and then again later when she is singing in Central Park.
One that I haven't seen yet...
When dragonized Narissa fell off the skyscraper, she grabbed onto a piece of the building's architecture, which broke off and she fell to her death, kinda like Frollo in The Hunchback...

yeah, i agree thefriarsdruggist. and in that last fight scene, the gargoyle-y architecture that they kept holding onto and climbing over looked just like that of the gaston/beast fight scene from batb.
I also thought in the very beginning when Giselle is making her "perfect prince" that was a directly from 'The Little Mermaid' scene with Ariel and her Prince Eric Statue. Even his pose was the same
I noticed everything you all said plus:
-During the "That's How She Knows" sequence, Giselle sits on a rock like Ariel in front of water, and she and Robert are in a row boat like in "Kiss the Girl".
-At the end, before Robert kisses Giselle, he says "Don't leave me", which is what Belle says to the Beast before he transforms.
-During the ball room dance, the whole waltz resembled Belle and the Beast's dance.
-Also in the "That's How She Knows' scenes there is that crazy red thing that has arms that look like Sebastion's legs and there is the belly dancer that has a candleabra(sp?) on her head that resembles Lumiere.
There are more I know, if I think of any I will put them.

Anyone catch the first 4 chords of Les Poissons in the Italian Restaurant when Nathanial peeks over the top of the pizza where Pip is hiding? It's a lot like the final scene of The Little Mermaid when Sebastian is on top of the wedding cake and Chef Louie sneaks up behind him with the cleaver. Another thing my brother saw, that I missed, was a warthog amongst the friends of the bride at the wedding at the end. He said it was facing away from the couple, but that it was obviously Pumba. I'd have to watch it again to verify.

Also, In "That's How You Know," the groups in the row boats resemble "It's A Small World" in the Magic Kingdom.
Edit: Also in that song are different refrences to the World Showcase in EPCOT.

Kristeliz, great list. Thanks. :)
Anyone know if Lea Salonga was asked to make a cameo? She did provide vocals for two recent Disney heroines so I was disappointed she wasn't included somehow. Maybe there was a schedule conflict.
haha I love this stuff. This was a great catch because you really had to be paying attention. NOw I am DYING to look for Pumbaa. Do I need to go see it AGAIN? lol
-At the end, before Robert kisses Giselle, he says "Don't leave me", which is what Belle says to the Beast before he transforms.
"It isn't playing here until Dec. 7th. Better check the bigger Cities."
It's already a nationwide MAJOR release. On nearly 4000 screens...
How small is your town exactly??
I mentioned this one on the OT thread, but her first dress she made from the curtains had Mickey heads all over it.
Also her ballroom gown resembled Ariel, especially after she rescued Robert and they were both sitting in the rain.
Her red hair - Ariel
Giselle climbing the castle with a sword - Mulan
I also think the animated Nancy kind of resembles Megara (or a more modern Snow White)
Narissa with the orb - Ursula
P.S - Giselle and Robert's waltz - most of the choreography is the same as Ariel and Eric in "Mermaid"
When we first see Narissa, she's watching the scene with Prince and Giselle, and calls her a "Forest Rat." That part reminded me so much of when Jafar first calls Aladdin "Street Rat" watching him in his secret lair
Was the dress made out of curtains not a pretty direct SOUND OF MUSIC reference?
haha or gone with the wind

More likely SOUND OF MUSIC since Andrews is the film's narrator.
Who knows?

In short, the filmmakers of ENCHANTED are indebted to far more original work of previous generations of greater talent.

I posted this link in a duplicate Enchanted thread, but there was an article in USA Today that summed up all the references from classic Disney films.
It was on their website for a second, but it seems to have disappeared.

Insider's Guide to Enchanted
I didn't see this one listed so maybe it's just me but toward the end of "Happy Working Song" when Giselle rescues the three bugs (cockroaches?) from inside the vacume cleaner they sit on her finger and then fly off...reminded me of the robin sitting on Mary Popins's finger in "Whistle While You Work".
Fun thread. Forgive me if these have been repeated:
• During the soap opera scene, Angela tells Ogden something to the fact of, "How do you expect me to love you when you don't even love yourself!", an obvious play on Belle/Beast.
• The "magic mirror" reporters last name is "Caselotti", as in Adriani Caselotti, the original voice of Snow White.
• The "tumbling down the well" scene is very reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland.
• The statue that Giselle builds in the begining is in the same pose as the statue of Prince Eric that Ariel has in her grotto.
I have to be honest...this movie really went out of its way to make Disney lovers happy. Wonderful film and I can't wait to see it again.

One reference I picked up on that I haven't noticed anyone else mention was during the beginning of the film, while it was still animated, there is a part where a turtle is helping Giselle dress and the turtle falls and goes into his shell and a bunch of animals laugh at him; this is directly from the Disney animated classic "Robin Hood".
Also, if you have the soundtrack the first couple notes of the track "Nathaniel and Pip" are 100% "Beauty and the Beast"
