Moreover, Orlando Bloom can't act his way out of a wet paper bag. He has a range from A to A and a half.
Oh Jamie Bell... what would I do for the chance to see him live on stage?
he was the first clue that I was gay

im confused ... didnt the article confirm radcliffe was coming over? why all the speculation on bell, bloom, etc -- did i misread something?
The playbill article mentions that both Radcliffe and Griffith were okay with June '08 so I assume that they're not officially confirmed (or are they?) but that they'll definitely be transfering.

You don't have to play a human to win a Tony. Roger Bart won for playing Snoopy.

Who cares how hot? I want an actor well-suited for the role (As Radcliffe seems to be) regardless of how "hot" they are. To that end, I want DJ Qualls to play Alan. No, I'm not joking.

Let's hope that Loretta Swit signs on as Mrs. Strang.

Argh. I just saw this in London three weeks ago.
I thought Radcliffe was impressive, but I wasn't impressed with Griffiths as Dysart. You could see Radcliffe working very hard to make that connection to Griffiths, but Grittifths really never opening up enough to make it happen believably.
Griffith's role also has many long monologues, and I didn't really buy them. Dysart is supposed to be shaken to the core by Alan, and Griffiths really didn't seem to be bothered much.
I had just the night before seen the final performance of Underneath the Lintel with Richard Schiff, and I really wanted to see him in the role of Dysart. Just my opinion, but I think Radcliffe would shine even more with another actor playing Dysart.

I'm all for Kevin Kline as Dysart....
even though i'm basically a history boys fanatic, i wasn't all that bowled over by Griffiths. In fact, I quite preferred Desmond Barret in the role. Griffiths seems to play everything incredibly over the top and melodramatic. but i can see how he would be a good Dysart...

Now that you say that, I'm in total agreement. His performance in Equus was very melodramatic, complete with rolled R's.
His Dysart just seemed very snobby, superior, or something along those lines. If anyone else has seen it and understands what I mean, help me out.
I didn't hate it by any means, but there was just something about his Dysart that didn't sit well with me. By the end, you want to understand why Alan has opened up to Dysart and plays out everything for him. But with Griffiths, I just didn't buy it.

I saw it in London when I was there in March. I am excited. It was a very intense well acted show.
Will someone please send a Mohel to Sir Radcliffe's home before he journeys to Broadway?
