EQUUS Set for Broadway Revival#1

...in Spring, 2008.
The show will close in London when Radcliffe leaves, though set to embark on a tour. An Australian production follows the Broadway staging.
So much for those rumors of Jamie Bell replacing Dan.

He could've been cast for the tour. It's kinda like a replacement.
I like how the tour's coming to my local theatre first. I love my local theatre. :3

I'm very excited about this coming next year...by the time it arrives, I'll be 18 and will be able to go to the city whenever I like!
(more shows as a result!)

It was only ever meant to be a limited run. Plus Radcliffe needs to go off and film more Harry Potter, so the producers decided they'd definitely close after he left rather than carrying on without him and Griffiths.

?
To who?
Anyway. I kind of hope that Radcliffe stays out of this, and that Jamie Bell takes on the role. He's a better actor, and he's hotter.

Hmm..I don't think anyone is winning any Tonys for this. Maybe for the horse.
And I love Jamie Bell - I don't know if he's a good stage actor but he seems a better fit for Alan to mee too.

I'd quite like the horse to win an Olivier please. C'mon, Best Supporting Role doesn't have to go to someone portraying a human ALL the time, does it? Will Kemp was marvellous. ^_^

"Will Kemp was marvellous. ^_^ "
He was indeed, weez...
and I have to say Daniel impressed me very much with his performance as Strang.

Posted: 4/20/07 at 1:43pmJamie Bell would be FANTASTIC. I've heard through the grapevine that Orlando Bloom was considered for the role but he turned out down because of the nudity.

Fo course Orlando turned it down. We might be reminded he has a penis.

People with the name Orlando do NOT have penises.
**apologies to all the Orlandos on this site.
Jamie Bell, much like Daniel Radcliffe, is overrated as far as his hotness factor goes and also pushes the latent pederasty buttons, but he IS hotter and a better actor than Radcliffe. I think I'd rather see Radcliffe though.

Overrated? I never thought that Radcliffe and Bell were even CONSIDERED hot by the general population. Radcliffe is still a little boy, and I don't find him hot at all. Sure, the nude picture are appealing, but he's a cute little boy.
Bell is a gorgeous young adult. What is he, 20?
re: EQUUS Set for Broadway Revival#23
Posted: 4/20/07 at 2:49pmI never started Orlando should have taken the role, I just started something I heard. He might be okay in some stage role, but I don't think Equus is the one for him (age). However, Jamie Bell ought to fit the role nicely. He's not particularly handsome but he's sort of endearing. He also fits the age.

Orlando Bloom is 30.
Yes, munk, Jamie Bell is 20, and I agree with you about him being hotter than Radcliffe, and he's definitely a better screen actor than Radcliffe as well.
