Apparently she brings her dog backstage at Wicked, and he's not very friendly.

Why does she bring her dog backstage?
Stephanie Powers also brought her little yip-yap dog backstage during her tour of King & I, and while in Houston an orchestra member opened a door and the dog was right behind it and the door hit it in the head. There wasn't any serious damage, but still- a theatre is no place for a dog.

I'm aware, and I still think it's ridiculous to bring your dog into those kinds of environments. I LOVE dogs, but I really don't like them in a work environment, they make me nervous (usually because I'm worried about their safety), especially in a theatre.
bwayboi, your avatar is known for bringing her dog with her to performances. There's also a great backstage dog at the New York Philharmonic. His bed is just off stage. Sometimes you can spot the musicians petting him before they walk out on stage.

For the record it is Espino"S"a.
Well, maybe I'm just so against it because all of the experiences I've had with dogs in a theatre haven't been the best.
Okay, so the NY Philaharmonic has a well-behaved, and well-liked dog. Good for them. But if her dog is a nuisance, Ms. Espinosa should not be allowed to bring it into the theatre.

I know lots of celebrity dog dirt...
What nipple flashing singer was fired by her dog trainer because she was dumber than her dog
This actress's TV husband may have dumped bodies in the river, but she let her neighbor's dog slip off the pier into the Hudson
What formerly-fly female singer never picked her dog up from daycare -- and then refused phone calls for months as to what to do with him
This Shakespearean actor insisted his dog be trained to poop indoors in a box because he was afraid to be photographed picking up after his dog on the street

She brought her dog to her dressing room all the time, no big deal. She did it on broadway and LA. Many many people do it.
But if the dog wasn't well-behaved, it IS a big deal because it's inconsiderate to the entire cast and crew.
Her dog didn't even seem that badly behaved.

She did the right thing---she hired a professional dog behaviorist to fix the problem.
Betty Buckley alway took her 2 minature Yorkies to the theatre where she was performing.
She did so EVERY performance during her run at the Minskoff Theatre with SUNSET BLVD. They even appeared on stage in a scene with her during her final performance.
She also used one as Chowzie during her run at the Papermill Playhouse with GYPSY.
