Well I drove from Vegas to LA for the matinee. I was kind of bummed cuz I know Steph J Block hasn't been doing the matinees. Then I saw that Eden was performing!!!! She had great chemistry with Kendra and her timing was great. I thought that she added some things vocally to Defying Gravity that were awesome. She truly made it her own. Here was the defining moment. My husband is not into musical theatre and often falls asleep, but he fully paid attention to her and was blown away! So that says alot! Her harmonies with Fiyero and Glinda were beautiful. She sounded like a recording.
The lottery and cancellation line were out of control. There were people already lined up for the evening cancellation line with lounge chairs and all. It was crazy!!!

Posted: 7/30/05 at 1:24amGlad to hear Eden is doing well. The woman has a phenomenal voice, contrary to what the BKLYN recording may lead you to believe. I find it odd that it is now considered a good thing to "sound like a recording." Wow. I like my singers to sound like they are singing live. No canned music for me, please.

Posted: 7/30/05 at 1:25amWhat I meant is that it was so flawless she sounded recorded. Not that her voice sounds recorded.

Posted: 7/30/05 at 1:29amAghhh where was I during this?? *pouts* Anyways, that's really awsome that you got to see her. She has an amazing voice and is one of my favorite Elphabas. I wish I could have seen her.

I would assume that you are allowed to say it, but you could refrain out of courtesy. The caps-lock and repetition, combined with the lack of proper punctuation make for quite the eyesore. Sorry to rain on your parade.

Posted: 7/30/05 at 1:48amI was one of those crazy people lined up in the cancellation line ALL day! I did get to see the second half of the show with Eden and she was AMAZING! The evening show was phenomanal too. I LOVE Katie Adams!!! She was on as Glinda and she really needs to be the lead ALL the time!

I'm cranky? Really?
To answer your question, I had my wisdom teeth removed on Monday. I haven't left the house since then. I have stitches in my mouth and the pain is making me half-seriously contemplate suicide.
Yeah...I'm cranky. However, my crankiness in this thread was feigned for comedic appeal. I'm sorry it didn't come through to you.

Posted: 7/30/05 at 2:38amThat's really cool. I'm seeing the closing performance on Sunday, and I 1/2 want to see Stephanie again and tell her how much she f'ing RULES. But I'd also wanted to see Eden in Wicked since I saw her in Brooklyn almost a year ago. I'd be very happy with either, but I'm glad to hear she's working out well.

Posted: 7/30/05 at 2:41amI'll be attending the next 3 lotto's in LA in an attempt to "pop my Wicked cherry." So I'd be thrilled to see anyone, but I am very intrigued by Eden.

Posted: 7/30/05 at 2:43amAll of the women involved in this show are insanely talented. You'll be in for a real vocal powerhouse regardless of which woman ends up performing.

Boring indeed.
I'm having to resort to tormenting the Wicked fans just to amuse myself. No rest for me!
As for Patronus, I'm sure his cherry is quite Wicked indeed!
Just kidding. Don't sue me, kid!
