There are still tickets available, although I don't keep up with all of that closely. Not sure why we didn't hit Chicago with the show. We did with Swan Lake last year.

Just so I'm clear, It's a ballet set to the Elfman score (with additional music), correct? It looks enchanting, I'd love for it to go to Broadway. MusicalMo, do you know if that possibility is being considered?
I saw it last night as well. I thought it was beautiful. The sets and the lighting and the costumes were outstanding. The ensemble was wonderful. And as a whole I enjoyed the score but the thematic elements from the original Elfman score are the true highlight. I got my tix off TDF as well and sat in Row S of the orchestra...good seats.

Actually, the producers DO have Broadway in the back of their minds......

I suppose Broadway is the goal for any piece of theatre, but I don't think that it is feasible at the moment. Matthew Bourne's company is booked with other projects at the moment. I would love for it to play Broadway, I think it is certainly good enough. We shall see what the reviews say after Friday's Opening. All we know is that the tour ends in Seattle in mid-May. So...see it in NYC while you can!!!

I'm excited I have tickets for it at the 5th Avenue in Seattle in May!
Wow, thanks for posting musicalmo! I was very impressed with the pit--I really loved the music (particularly from the reeds; that's what I play).

Could it perhaps go into the St. James for a limited run before Frankenstein comes in?

That would be a great idea, except that the Company of dancers begins rehearsal for Matthew's production of The Car Man for a UK Tour right after the Scissorhands tour closes in May.

The Car Man is genius, too. Saw it in CA before Bourne closed down Adventures in Motion Pictures and set up New Adventures. It's dark and sexy dance theatre at its best. I hope that makes it back to the US.
i thought it was visually stunning and the music was glorious but that was about it. also, tdf seats were way up in rear mezz and the seats were uncomfortable for anyone over 4 ft tall who weighs more than 65 lbs.
