Elle Tour Understudy Question#1

Since Rhiannon is playing Margot and she understudying Elle, does this mean that Lauren Zakin is the "first" Elle understudy?

I say this because, Lauren is *basically* playing Becky's role from NY on tour, where Rhiannon is playing Annaleigh and Haven's role. Annaleigh only played Elle once, on Sept 6th* 2007, where I *believe* Haven played the role only once or twice. (I could be wrong about Haven, but I know Annaleigh is correct)

So if you see LB with an Elle understudy it will more or less be Lauren?.

I believe that Rhiannon is NOT the understudy. The website lists only Lauren as the understudy.

No, Lauren and Rhiannen are both Elle Understudies. However Lauren is the first cover and Rhiannon is the second cover. Meaning that usually Lauren will go on unless it's scheduled for Rhiannon to go on during like Becky's vacation or something like that.

I swear it did say Rhiannon was an Elle understudy, but it must have been taken away. Here is a message Rhiannon wrote wear she says she was offered Margot, and u/s Elle.

yes, it did change. i have a playbill from this past weekend, and lauren is the only cover now.

Also in an interview with Rhiannon they talked about how she was also an Elle understudy. Look on wpri.com. Maybe only Lauren is listed because they are rehearsing her first and then they'll add Rhiannon once she is fully rehearsed.

Well maybe when someone sees the show they can confirm with her is she is an understudy or not. Besides even if the website said she wasn't they haven't said in the past that Annaleigh, Haven, and Kate were understudies.

They don't list understudies on the Broadway cast, the tour cast does.

Elle On tour:
Becky Gulsvig (Principal)
Lauren Zakrin (1st cover)
Rhiannon Hansen (2nd Cover)

Just because it doesn't say that she's a cover doesn't mean she isn't. Annaleigh wasn't listed as an Elle understudy. Even on the understudy list, I have an OBC Playbill. And she was not listed as the Elle understudy, even though she was from the time the show opened.

When they play Margot, it doesn't say that they're an Elle cover, because basically they're a last resort, if the 1st cover can't go on which is very rare (hense the reason Annaleigh and Haven only went on once).

Rhiannon has also said she is also the 2nd Elle cover.

It's funny when people are rude and wrong at the same time. YES! Rhiannon is an understudy, deal with it. Read the blog. Thanks wicked4l for clearing it up.

I do have a OBC playbill, where it had Annaleigh as an Elle understudy...I dont know why FinalDesenation, your does not. Could it be my playbill is post-tonys?

No, that statement is just entirely wrong. Kate Rockwell went on for six consecutive performances as Elle a couple of weeks ago, when Bailey had bad allergies. Autumn was in the show each night, in her regular track. It was not a "last resort" to put Kate on.

Also, the two times Haven went on, Becky covered Margot for her. So again, Becky was available to go on, but they used Haven.

Why do people just make things up on here???
