Posted: 12/13/12 at 7:50amI am visiting New York the last week of January/first week of February. Ellen Burstyn is one of my favourite actresses of all time. I have an original The Last Picture Show poster I was hoping to have her sign. It is already signed by Cloris Leachman. Also, my favourite "newer" actress is Jessica Chastain. I was hoping to meet her as well and hopefully have a photo taken. I was wondering if anyone has met these two great performers and could share their experience here.

I don't know about Ellen but Jessica was very nice at stage door. She signed & took photos. It wasn't a very busy stage door & Michael Urie was visiting her so she was cracking up jokes with him to everyone.
However, this was the Wednesday matinee after the hurricane so I don't know how busy it is on a normal day.

Posted: 12/13/12 at 10:05amI met Jessica after the show in October. She couldn't have been nicer and signed autographs and took pics with everyone who wanted to. Though now that her profile has been raised significantly over the past month with all the awards and nominations, I would imagine the stage door might be quite a bit busier. Though I'm sure she still comes out, just maybe not as much time to chat etc. When I went there was maybe 2 dozen people at most.

I've only met Jessica and she was the kindest person ever. She talked to everybody after the show and by that I mean actual conversation, not the usual "thanks for coming" stuff. She was with her little dog (I think his name is Chaplin) and she was very gracious, asking a bunch of questions about me and my stay in NYC. It helps that the stage door wasn't too crowded as well... there were about 20 people outside and about 5 or 6 of them left after meeting Dan Stevens (probably some Downtown Abbey fans).

I am so looking forward to meeting these two ladies and seeing their performances. Jessica Chastain is having quite a year!
