So, any chance she will return to Broadway soon?
I have fallen in love with "Who Will Love Me As I Am" and "I Will Never Leave You" from Skinner/Ripley Raw at Town Hall cd and personally, I love Skinners voice more

I also noticed that she is singing at the grand opening of a performing arts center in the fall in my town, Richmond (since she is a native)
But I really want to know if she will return. Any thoughts?

She's doing Broadway Jukebox on March 22 at Birdland!!

My friends and I want her back as well!

I had the pleasure of seeing her a couple of years ago in a NYMF show (also starred Nikki Snelson) and she was great. I wish she would come back to Broadway.

I wish she had been Ursula (though then I probably would have sat through TLM more than the one time I did). She was amazing on the demo.

Pianolin- God, I love Emily Skinner. And I LOVE that Raw at Town Hall CD. I wasn't sure if you were familiar with the actual recording of Side Show where those two songs came from, because thats the ultimate recording of them. I'm hard pressed to find more thrilling vocals than Alice and Emily's on the Side Show cast album. Can't wait for her to be back on Broadway.

That's terrific that Emily has been invited to sing at the opening of CenterStage in Richmond ... it would be great for them to "bring home" lots of expatriate Richmond talent.

I also adore her. Her two duet albums with Alice Ripley are favorites of mine.

And yes, the Side Show recording is wonderful.

Any news on the revival, by the way?

and I also have a question. the grand opening is a 3 day event... so I am assuming she is performing the first night? is this correct?

Not 100% sure how the whole event is running yet.

It's several days of celebration, Thursday - Sunday. More information can be found on www.centerstagerichmond.org.

The only way I know this is because the organization I work for, SPARC, is one of the performing organizations that will be featured in the grand opening celebration.

I really love Emily Skinner (and I'm so jealous of her flawless hair!), but strangely enough, my least-favorite role I've heard her in is Daisy. Her acting was perfect, I just felt her voice sounded strained.

But as another Virginian, this is AWESOME news!
