Why do you have to keep up the Jewspiracy?
For those who asked--no, Leigh Ann has not missed a single performance. Updated On: 10/8/08 at 11:16 PM
Hopefully she keeps it up or there will be quite the scene at the St. James. People rummaging through purses to find a pen to gouge out their eyes & ear drums.
I'm sorry, but could someone explain the significance of Emma Zaks? I googled her, and just found that she was in La Cage Aux Folles, and it appears the MTF3 really likes her... but why is this such a big deal? Thanks

She was also a contestant on "Legally Blonde: Search for Elle Woods" and she is AMAZING! However, a lot of people don't like her, because they think that because her father's a 4-time Tony Award winner, that he is somehow "getting" these jobs for her, and that it's not about talent, but nepitism. Personally, I think that she didn't get Elle, because of anti-Semitism of Heather Hach and Paul Canaan. Well, at least she has another chance to be a star (mark my words! She will be playing Glinda full-time by 2010)
It's a big deal because she ISN'T. Emma was on Search for Elle... & MTF3 seems to think the reason she got booted was because Heather & Paul are Anti-Semitic. She is ugly (only a little offence meant there), she could barely sing on the show, & couldn't dance for ****.

Also, how was her u/s? I love Leigh Ann! She is one of the best things about this "Gypsy", in my opinion!! Her talent is remarkable and she is one of the sweetest actors EVER! Love her!

musicaltheatrefan3, I laugh because you couldn't be further from the truth. No, she didn't get voted off because she was jewish. That is just crazy and anyone in their right mind would know that. I do doubt if you yourself are in your right mind because you do think that the judges hate jews.

The fact is is that she isn't talented. She couldn't sing to save her life and I fear that all her years of smoking have damaged her forever. Hell, I am a smoker and I sing a whole lot better then she does. But, to her credit I will admit it doesn't take much to sing better then her.

And, your "theories" as to why she got voted off the show or why she isn't the lead are just flat out stupid. They only continue to prove that you know nothing at all about what is going on. If you want keep the VERY little bit of dignity that you have I suggest that you stop posting such stupid things.

She's been working on quitting for awhile, and I've said before that I don't approve of her smoking, but you're a smoker, and you say that YEARS of smoking have damaged her permanently. So, you're just smoking for a limited time? You are going to quit eventually, or are you going to be like what you say Emma is? Are you going to smoke for YEARS and let it DAMAGE you? That was very contradictory. You can think whatever you want about Heather and Paul's anti-Semitism. You can see how Bernie fought to keep her on, but Heather and Paul just didn't want a Jewish Elle.

I'm Jewish... so I obviously have nothing against Jewish people, if I did, that would just be weird.

Emma had to go. I'm really happy Bailey won.

Hmmm..... smoking for a long time damages your voice YES but 2 words:

Shoshana Bean.

Please tell me WHY Heather & Paul are Anti-Semitic. Bernie is friends with her father, it would be quite the lunch date if he didn't at least try to keep her on.

She was the most talented one on there. In every way.
She couldn't sing or dance.

winston89: Your voice is better than hers right now even though you both smoke because you haven't been smoking long enough to damage it. Don't worry, it's coming.

Emma was pretty bad at everything, yes. Her acting and dancing in particular were abyssmal.

Who's leaving?
musicaltheatrefan3, them hating her because she is Jewish is not that obvious. Your making it seem that them being against jews is a very obvious thing and that it is black and white. When the fact is it isn't. Your just a fan of Emma Zacks, got pissed when she got voted off and are looking for ways (bad ways might I add) to justify her getting kicked off the show.

She even had to go to a doctor during the show because things got so bad.

What I was trying to say when I said that even I smoke and I am very good at singing was this. Yes, I do smoke but I sound better then she does. Meaning that she was using the smoking thing too often as an excuse for poor performance.

Sporkgoddess, while I do understand that smoking can damage your singing that isn't the case all the time. There are a lot of people on Broadway in musicals who do smoke and their voices sound fine. I remember there was that stupid thread about Broadway actors who smoke. Someone point out that either the actor who plays Flotsom or Jetsom in The Little Mermaid smokes and that they saw them smoking by the stage door at half hour call when people were being let into the theatre.

mtf3... she may be talented but she won't be playing galinda because galinda has to be LIKEABLE... emma is just so harsh and cold and unapproachable... she would be a much better drunken bitch type character... she is good... but not good for anything cute.

If you smoke and your voice is still fine, it means that you just haven't had enough damage to impact it yet. Smoking impacts different people at different paces. I maintain that smoking is a ticking time bomb for singers.
this smoking argument is so dumb. smoking is unhealthy and borders on disgusting (and I come from a family of smokers). quit smoking and chew gum instead.
SporkGoddess, there are great singers on Broadway who have been performing for years and they still smoke. Hell, half the original cast of Rent smoked and did for some time prior to their gig in the show and their voices sounded fine. Hell look at recent Tony winner Idina Menzel, she smoked before and after she was in Wicked and her voice is fine. You make it sound like smoking for a singer WILL in fact damage your singing. When in fact it is more likely to say that there is a chance that it will.
