End of the week show attendance/stage door

So I'm taking my mom to her first Broadway show(David Cook in Kinky Boots) and she's really worried that he won't be on or will stage door for it being the last show of the week.Is it common for people to call out on the last show of the week or not stage door? I noticed that David always staged door after the single day Sunday matinees during his first run.We are going on his first Sunday back.

Thanks.I always go to the last shows of the week when touring shows come to my area and there are usually hardly any understudies/swings on (Except for a few scheduled absences) and I think the only huge "stars" I saw on broadway/tour tour that didn't stage door were Adam Pascal in Something Rotten and Ramin Karimloo in Les Mis(Who I heard were both hit/miss anyway) .It seems to be that David always staged doored except for two show days during his first run. I'll tell my mom that it will most likely be ok!
