Caught a re-run of Will & Grace last night--the one where Kevin Bacon guest-stars. He and Will dance to "Footloose"...it's so great! Eric was really good and he seems to have a good singing voice, too.
Anyhow, has Eric done any work on Broadway? (I must confess my staggering ignorance.)
What about Debra Messing? (somewhere I read that she has done stage work, including playing "Harper" in "Angels in America"--though I don't know which half.)

Wasn't he in "The Music Man" 2001? I'm not sure but I remember hearing about it. He does have a decent voice.
Not too long ago the whole W&G Cast was on Oprah and I think D. Messing mentioned how she was in an off-broadway play (can't remember which one) and how really difficult it was for her to do an 8 performaces a week schedule. Or did she mention this on Jay Leno? Cant remember. But I don't think she has a good voice.
Megan M. has been on broadway too.
I don't know about Sean Hayes.

First off, Eric's last name is McCorMACK, not McCorMICK. He's a Scottish Celt. He, himself, explained that to me.
He replaced Craig Bierko (to great advantage) in THE MUSIC MAN about three years ago. Last season he was the "Mystery Guest Star" in THE PLAY WHAT I WROTE and was planning to return to it, but the production folded.
He has an enormous list of credits at the Stratford (Canada) Shakespeare Festival.
Eric McCormack is not just a great actor, but he's a warm and sincere person off-stage.

Debra Messing was off-broadway in "Collected Stories"...although I don't know if she performed it with Uta Hagen or not.
She also did "The Importance of Being Earnest" WAY back in '96 she was Cecily...same year Alessandro Nivola did "Master Harold and the Boys" here in Seattle at the Intiman Theatre.

Sorry, Dollypop, I truly did know how to spell his name...my fingers weren't cooperating. Need my afternoon sugar rush.
He seems like a really sweet guy. I get such a kick out of him on that show. :o) Lucky you to be able to not only meet but actually get to know so many talented performers. Is there a trade secret you can share, LOL!
Stratford Festival, that's just over the border from me! Sorry I missed him on-stage.

Posted: 2/19/04 at 6:32pmI saw both Craig Bierko and Eric McCormack in "The Music Man" and Eric didn't compare to Bierko's brilliant portrayal. His voice isn't quite strong enough for such a leading role. He's got tremendous stage presence, however, and I think that may he should consider doing a comedy or drama on broadway.

Posted: 2/19/04 at 7:09pmCraig Bierko studied every movement and gesture and vocal mannerism of Robert Preston, who originated the role of Harold Hill. It was like watching a living fax machine when Bierko performed the role. Eric created his own chracterization and made the role seem spanking new. He was marvelous!

He played the lead - Clay Mosby - the charming Southern gentleman "villain"...had a beard, to help you picture him. It is simply the best dramatic portrayal of a villain in the history of television.
His Dracula on the stage in Canada was brilliant. His Music Man made Bierko look like an amateur (D.P. is correct - Bierko just copied Preston shamelessly whereas E.M. made the role his own and had the sexiest of on-stage chemistry with Luker...THAT kiss!!!!!!!!!! Super hot).

Thanks for the memory jog...I couldn't place him--but the beard explains it.
He's such a handsome guy either way...too bad he's married. Sigh... like I've got a shot at him with Dollypop in line ahead of me.
Guess that free's up Patrick Wilson? LOL!

Please remember that TAMrMcC is straight, married and has a son named Finnegan. Eric is only too happy to pull out his wallet and show pictures.
And LeeinLondon, I thought the British were known for their manners and decorum. I guess that's another stereotype I can toss out with the bathwater.

Yes, and I saw an interview were Eric spoke of how hard they worked to conceive him. Lots of medical problems and it was during the time that "Will" and "Grace" were considering having a child together.
I'm so glad Eric and his wife were able to have their son. :o)
