I had been thinking, do you think he would make a good Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof?

I don't think Ernie's really leading man material...he's not strong enough of a presence for Tevye.

You never know, he could surprise. He's mostly played odd-ball roles, but that doesnt mean he can't pull a serious role out of his bag.

No, he can never play any other role but Mr.Carosie in "Saved by the Bell".

And if she'll say, "My darling, I'm yours!" I'll throw away my striped tie and my best pressed tweed, all I really need is the girl...

He's too clownish, and besides, he can't really sing that well. For the character roles he's done I guess he's been passable, but to do something like Tevye requires a stronger voice.

He's home in NV playing golf... spoke with him after "Molm" closed, and seemed to me that he could not wait to "retire"..

He would make a much better Lazar Wolf than Tevye.

He seemed fatigued when I saw him in Sweet Charity. I can't tell but it was like his weight was becoming a burden...not sure.
